We wanted a new clock for our studio, so the team at Avooq opted to repurpose the office Playstation 1 console instead of letting it sit idle in storage. The revamped console now displays the current time and sparks nostalgia for classic psx games that brought us joy in childhood. All necessary parts to build this wall clock are included, except for a non-working Playstation console, replacement clock hands, and an unused blank DVD disk. For a working time display, you'll need to source a new Playstation 1 or 2 console, which can be found on Ebay by searching 'Ps1 consoles' or 'used game stations.' Simply replace the old face plate with this dial-based system, using it with or without controllers as desired.
