Playseat shakers for sim racing
thingiverse
Following the installation of rumble motors for my Fanatec CSL pedals from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3089816, I discovered that the Adafruit motor shield still had two free connections waiting for additional motors. I salvaged a couple of OD 29-30mm DC motors, which I think came from an old printer, and built a simple "poor man's" shakers setup. I'm very pleased with the result - it adds a tangible feeling when navigating track curbs and bumps. The electronics consist of an Arduino Uno paired with an Adafruit motor shield V02, while the software is the ShakeIt program found at Racedepartment.com. If you follow the tutorial posted in my previous build, it's easy to understand everything and get started quickly.
