Updates
14.04.202 - update v1.1: -Shifter_ball_ram failed due to being hit with it while storing the whole seat, resulting in a stronger version that has thus far required no changes. I recommend using the "shifter_ram_ball_harder.stl" file instead of the regular one.
About Thing
This is v.1, requiring modification with a soldering iron to fit, so don't print unless you must. v.2 is already in development, and I'm publishing this version for people to test it, so if you're impatient, try v.1 or wait for the newer version. This idea was inspired by @[dabinn](https://www.thingiverse.com/dabinn) youtube video, but since RAM mounts are either too expensive or take too long to arrive from China (due to coronavirus), I decided to fully print my RAM and GoPro mounts. Since I have no experience in 3D modeling, this thing is based on their respective designers, with modifications made to suit my needs. - YakFisher 1.5" Ball System with Garmin Ball Mount by [YakFisher](https://www.thingiverse.com/YakFisher) - Flashlight holder (mount) for bicycle bar / bicycle light by [AndrewUsov](https://www.thingiverse.com/AndrewUsov)
Hardware
This is an entirely new design, and I need to re-measure everything. I assume you have access to most M3, M4, M5, and M6 hardware. - M6 x 30mm and nuts - 2pcz - M5 x 40mm and nuts - 1pcz - M5 x 35mm and nuts - 1pcz - M4 - a few bolts and nuts - M3 - a few bolts and nuts
Slicing
Every part is structural, so print it with at least 80% infill and min 5 walls. Only the 22mm hinges require support; others can be printed without any supports. Note that the orientation for best rigidity when slicing should be done automatically by the slicer.
Post Printing
Part "left_mount.stl" requires modification to acquire a greater angle of Ram Mount, which I achieved using a soldering iron on both ends. I have included tpu_5layer file that goes under both upper 25mm hinges. Since 5 layers were too thick for my chair, I reduced it in Cura to 2 layers and now it fits perfectly snugly. Tpu is used for better grip and protection of a Playseat. Upper hinges are designed for an M6 bolt instead of the original M5 t-nut that comes with SQ shifter. Insert M6 nut into "m6_t_nut_bracket.stl" and slide it in place of M5 in the shifter.
Final words
I've been using this mount for a few days now, and it's been really sturdy. I hope PLA can withstand it. Now that Next Level Racing has announced F-GT LITE cockpit, I'm considering ordering one, so I'll just wait for a few reviews.
