PLAyPin a 3D Printed Medium Format Pinhole Camera
thingiverse
I wanted to design my own camera after seeing all the fantastic existing ones like the TerraPin and the P6x6. My main goal was to create a more modular system so I could print in short intervals of an hour or two here and there, as the other cameras took very long times to print out completely. The longest printing time on my printer is the body, which takes 3.5 hours with a 0.4mm layer height and 15% honeycomb infill. The rest are all under an hour each, which means I can get them printed up quickly and efficiently while using less filament as possible. I designed this camera to shoot medium format film, but you can also easily adapt it for 35mm photography using Coconnor55's excellent adapter. Check out the photos in the gallery - they were all taken with these very adapters! Hopefully, you enjoy my design! **Instructions** Don't print the combined STL file; that's just for show, and instead download the zip file with individual parts designed specifically for printing on a 0.4mm nozzle. I usually set up my printer for a 0.4mm layer height, 2 perimeter layers, 2 top and bottom layers, and 15% honeycomb infill. For complete assembly instructions, check out the pdf file included.
