The new base design is now available for download. To ensure proper airflow, I have optimized the case layout so that cool air from the fan can circulate on top and bottom of the Raspberry Pi 2 before exiting through the side ports. Update - Improved print times for top pieces. Use these files instead if you experienced errors during the first printing attempt. A special edition of the base design includes an extension for a 40mm 5V fan, which helps to moderate overclocking performance on the Raspberry Pi 2 when housed within this custom case. The modified base piece is now under development. An alternative version of the base piece v2 offers improved design efficiency and reduced print time compared to the original model. If you have already printed the first iteration, there is no need to download the new one. Released - April 2015. In order to avoid a generic, square-shaped case design, I've remixed a creative idea found here on Thingiverse. Although intended for retro build enthusiasts, feel free to customize it as you like. The CAD model was created using Tinkercad, an innovative tool that provides professional-grade results without incurring any software costs.
