"V" (edition 1984) is one of those classics that helped shape the modern Sci-Fi genre. At its core it's really not about alien invaders. Especially in the first miniseries it's a multi layered view on the rise of fascism and how it always begins with a wolf dressed in cheep clothes. Or in this case, lizards in human fleshsuits. As the franchise progressed and its creator Kenneth Johnson left the show, it's strong premise got out of sight and it ended as a showcase of how to kill a strong idea in just 19 episodes.
