Playmobil pin repair solution (e.g. for chest)
thingiverse
This is a repair solution for Playmobil chests (and other boxes with operatable cover). For finding the right set of parameters I recommend using +0.3mm larger pins (each) than the gap (so in total 2*0.3mm=0.6mm longer than the gap). For getting round pins I've printed with 0.08mm layer height. I have actually milled away a fraction of the broken part to replace it with the printed one. Grinding might also do, but won't look as nice. I've glued the parts with a glue gun. This should do because there won't be too much force on it. No warranty regarding choking hazard for the repaired part. Please follow these easy steps to get the STL file for your print: 1. install openSCAD: https://www.openscad.org (it is free of charge) 2. open the scad file of this thing 3. adjust the parameters as you like (diameter and length of pins, etc.) 4. render the design by pressing F6 5. export to STL by pressing F7
