Playmobil 1976 Western Wagon and Stage Coach pulling tongue (nr 3243, 3245 and 3154)
thingiverse
The 1976 Playmobil stagecoach and wagon are plagued by two major issues: the broken pulling tongues, which result from a static attachment that fails to provide adequate support. Furthermore, the design of the original pulling tongue, combined with the plastic's age (over 40 years), makes it prone to snapping off near the front wheels. Another weak point lies in the eyes that attach to the horses' harnesses. I took precise measurements of the original pulling tongue and intentionally altered its design at several key points to reinforce these vulnerable areas. This revised design aims to restore playability to the vintage toy, rather than simply replacing a broken part with an identical-looking replica that retains all its weaknesses. The original beige/brown pulling tongue is juxtaposed alongside my custom-printed black PETG model for direct comparison.
