Playing Card Tiles

pinshape

A versatile set of custom playing card tiles perfect for rummy tile games such as Rummikub and Mahjong. Each individual tile consists of three interlocking pieces that snap together with ease. The face, back, and insert pieces come together to create a single unit. The insert provides the color of the tile, allowing for multiple colors within a suit or the use of one or no color at all if desired. The assembled piece is easily disassembled, making it simple to change the insert color at any time. There are three available height options for the backs, resulting in different thickness tiles: 6mm (Rummikub style), 10mm, and 14mm (Mahjong style). The width of the friction fit also has five different tolerance settings, depending on your printer's calibration. The STLs for the backs follow a specific naming convention: BlockBackXX_YY.stl. In this format, XX represents the thickness of the finished assembled tile in mm (06, 10, or 14), while YY denotes hundredths of a mm shaved off the friction fit block. The larger the number, the thinner and looser the fit will be. Starting with a value of 05 often yields optimal results. If additional values for XX or YY are required, they can be easily generated upon request. To create a standard Rummikub set, two tiles of each suit and two jokers are needed, totaling 106 tiles (2 * 4 * 13 + 2).
