Playing Card Display Shelf

Playing Card Display Shelf

thingiverse

I'm a hobbyist card collector, with a passion for decks that's been growing over the past few years. To showcase my impressive collection, I designed this wall-mounted shelf. It's perfectly suited to stand alone, but I highly recommend hanging it on a wall. This design is incredibly easy to print, requiring no special settings whatsoever. As a matter of fact, it's my very first original Thing to publish, and I'm thrilled to share it with you! ***UPDATE*** After reworking the side pieces for an improved fit, I was able to get them to print flawlessly on my CR-10. However, upon further examination, I realized that I needed to tweak the tolerances to achieve a snugger fit. Fortunately, printing a complete rack from these revised files turned out to be a breeze, and they slide into place with ease. ***UPDATE*** 03/07/2010 I've made some notable changes to the design. To reduce print time by one-third, I've scaled down the shelf's dimensions slightly. Additionally, I've adjusted the sides to accommodate the new size, ensuring a seamless fit. To enhance functionality, I've also added hooks for convenient mounting and stacking. The wall hook is perfect for securing a single shelf to the wall, while the shelf hook allows you to hang one shelf beneath another without drilling additional holes. I prefer to display mine in columns of three; I recommend printing the hooks with a robust filament like carbon fiber PLA. To cater to those who prefer a single-row design, I've included a file called "short sides". This will allow you to print a compact shelf that can hold four decks comfortably. I'm eager to hear your feedback and answer any questions you may have. Since I don't frequent this platform often, feel free to shoot me an email at cprouty70@gmail.com. Thanks for your interest in this project, and enjoy!
