Playing Card Clock
thingiverse
Remix of shiura Casino Clock. Based on a pack of Waddingtons Playing cards. I have adapted shiura code to run on an ESP32D and added summer winter time correction for use in the UK etc. I have added LEDs for NTP Syncing, NTP Fail and NTP Sync'd. Switched added for Summertime (DST) , Start and Reset. The Start button prevents any motors from running on startup eg after a power fail the clock will wait to be restarted. Download code here http://www.brettoliver.org.uk/Card_Clock/images/CardClock10_Web.zip Note on Shinsaku Hiura original design the clock steps backwards on power up to set the rotors in their home position so the time is dispalyed correctly when NTP time is obtained. My clock would not turn backwards reliably so I have removed (commented out) this feature from the code. Time is set manually on the rotors after startup. It will then follow NTP time. I also found the rotors would not turn reliably with 5v power to the stepper motors so I increased the voltage to 8v and it worked fine. In addintion to the click case/frame I have added boxes to house the boards. Full Vero Board and shematics included see further details here http://www.brettoliver.org.uk/Card_Clock/card_clock.htm
