Player cover

Player cover

thingiverse

It's a sleek mp3 player cover that keeps earphones' cable organized, protecting player buttons from unintended pressing while controlling music in your pocket without needing to see its buttons, also keeping the player screen safe from scratches by metal earphone cases. My Ruizu X11 mp3 player model pairs perfectly with Astrotec AX35 earphones, but this custom cover isn't universal and requires a redesign for different models. You can use sketchup files to modify or combine parts to fit your device. When printing, use my RepRap 3D printer with HE3D X-I3 specifications: 0.15mm resolution, 50% infill, ABS material, and no rafts or supports. After printing the cover in two parts (bottom with slots and top), I glued them together with acetone. You can adjust or calculate bevels on the bottom part to match earphone cable length or use a trial-and-error approach, adding holes for earphones and big enough to accommodate fingers.
