Playable Mini Guitar Child Guitar (Remix)
thingiverse
Hi! I fell in love with the mini guitar from Microstrat and decided to give it a bit of an upgrade to make it playable. My son is absolutely thrilled with it! If you just want to print out your new instrument, you'll need the files Bridge.stl, neck.stl, top.stl, and MiniGuitarBody.stl. That's all you need if you have good glue on hand. However, I ran into a problem when I tried to assemble mine - the neck didn't hold well at all. To solve this issue, I added two additional reinforcement parts that helped me attach the neck to the body. If you want to do the same, be sure to print out reinforcement1.stl and reinforcement2.stl, but don't forget to drill some holes first! This remix takes the original files and adds some clever rubber band holders to make your guitar playable right off the bat. I printed mine at a scale of 2.3, which worked beautifully with my Anet A8 printer. If you're feeling adventurous, you can use the MiniGuitarBridge.stl, MiniGuitarNeck.stl, and MiniGuitarTop.stl files to modify the code in Openscad. These were simply my starting point for this remix, but feel free to experiment and make it your own! Kudos to the original designer - the guitar shape is pure genius!
