Playable 3d mostly printed 6 string electric guitar

thingiverse

This is the 6 string version of a playable 3D printable electric guitar kit, optimized primarily for printing on a 400x400mm bed. The kit features 8mm strengthening rods through the neck and headstock to enhance stability. Attaching the neck to the body requires a block of wood to fill in the void at the bottom of the neck, ensuring a secure connection. Print the following components with 95% infill (print fretboard and inlays with 60% infill overlap for a smooth finish): * Fretboard * Body Center * All Neck Parts * Headstock * Inlays Body sides can be printed at 25% or more infill, minimizing material usage. This kit includes a fret press tool for a drill press and a fret board sanding block with the correct radius for precise fitting. The design uses the following hardware: * Sperzel tuners (available on Amazon) * 12mm pegs on a Tunamatic bridge (some models have smaller diameters) * 8x400mm carbon fiber rods (three required) * Dual action truss rod * Medium/medium fret wire * A rotary selection knob for the pickups (three position) and two volume knobs The finished product weighs approximately the same as a wooden configuration. This model is still under development, with ongoing tweaks to ensure optimal performance.
