After experiencing hair loss due to the dodecahedron printing issue, I received assistance from Marius Kintel to understand the problem. The dodecahedron model consists of combinations of dual forms (dodecahedron/icosahedron), and can be printed with a 20mm radius. However, this can be altered in OpenScad or by scaling. The 'difference' form is particularly intriguing as it serves well for calibration purposes, featuring challenging overhangs, bridges, and flat surfaces for tuning between ABS and PLA. The printing challenge arose from OpenScad's discontent with the pentagons, which Marius solved by breaking them down into triangles. To use these models, simply download the .stls, print as desired, and rejoice! For adventurous users, manipulating the OpenScad is also an option.
