Metallic reflex persian plate. Created in Kashan around 1200-1220. This piece presents a unique challenge for scanning due to its extremely shiny metallic glazed surface. If a conventional scan had been done, the actual geometry would not have been accurate because of errors caused by high brightness. Use Matcap mode to view the mesh without texture and observe the small details in the geometry (1.8 million faces in the original model).
