Platforms for vintage Shimano 600 Cage Pedals

thingiverse

Everybody who owns a vintage racing bike from the 70s or 80s knows that riding Shimano 600 Cage Pedals without the original vintage shoes is like stepping on sharp knives. Especially when you're wearing sneakers with their thin soles, it's extremely uncomfortable. These platforms make for a more comfortable ride with any type of shoe. They provide a smooth and stable surface that lets your feet move freely without any hindrance. Made from PET-G with 40% infill, they weigh in at less than 20 grams and are visually unobtrusive. They won't add any bulk to your pedals or distract from their sleek design. The platforms are secured to the pedal by two M4x8 screws (6-16mm length is also acceptable), screwed into the untreaded PET-G hole. I used black nickel-plated DIN7380 half-round screws for a secure and stylish finish. Feel free to use, print, edit, remix, sell parts of, but share alike!
