PLAtform Shoes
thingiverse
These sandals are 3D-printable and flexible, made from PLA plastic. Designed for women's feet that measure between 7-7.5 inches in length, but they can easily be scaled up or down to fit different foot sizes. The platform part of the shoe is the only component that needs to be printed using a 3D printer. Next, you can weave straps through the slots on the side of the shoe and then attach them to the sole with hot glue. To complete the look, create a leather sole by gluing thin layers of leather or pleather together. To make these sandals, you will need several extra supplies that are all available at Joanne Fabrics. These include: A thick leather strap that is 1.5 inches wide and 1.5 feet long Stretchy fabric that is also 1.5 inches wide and 1 foot long Leather or pleather cloth that measures half a square meter If you have access to a Ninjaflex printer, I've included an STL file for a Ninjaflex insert that you can use instead of making the leather sole. This will give your sandals a softer, more flexible feel. Keep in mind that these shoes tend to squeak on concrete, so I'm working on finding a material to attach to the bottom to reduce the noise.
