Platform Pedal
thingiverse
I needed platform pedals for an upcoming bike tour, but all I had were clipless pedals. So, I spent a few days turning them into platform pedals using plenty of PLA filament and the clipless pedals as donor parts. This is just a proof of concept because I eventually want to create a series of these pedals that outperform commercially available ones. A lot more development work is needed for that. To read the full project description, check out my latest blog post at https://trail70engineer.blogspot.com/2017/09/3d-printed-pedal-project-proof-of.html. I've uploaded two versions of the files: the first version includes the exact same STL files I used to print these pedals, and the second version features a 2mm through hole instead of profiled bearing surfaces. This change makes it easier to cut out the center to match whatever spindle and bearing diameters you need for your own project.
With this file you will be able to print Platform Pedal with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Platform Pedal.
