Jurassic Pet offers a series of Low-Poly animal models, optimized for mobile devices and suitable for rendering or in-game use. The current model is the Plateosaurus, a well-studied dinosaur and one of the oldest dinosaur genera. Named in 1837, this sauropodomorph predates the creation of the Dinosauria by Richard Owen in 1842. Although not part of the defining dinosaur genera used by Owen, the study of Plateosaurus has been crucial to palaeontology. Associated primarily with central Europe, particularly Germany, remains have also been found in Greenland and South America. The abundance of Plateosaurus fossils suggests it may have been one of the most common dinosaurs in Europe during the Triassic period.
