If you're using the affordable 2-axis gimbal from goodluckbuy and want to mount it forward-facing on your quad, tri, hex, octo, motorcycle or racing boat, then you've come to the right place. Instructions This plate replaces the top plate with an extended version, so you can hang your gimbal at the front of your multirotor. One foam earplug is all that's needed for extra stabilisation and vibration dampening. I glued the earplug to the back of the roll motor where it would otherwise touch my copter frame. Since the gimbal weight was pulling on the rear two damper balls instead of compressing them, I noticed a bit more than ideal vibrations, so I stabilised the roll motor with this earplug. All is now good. The first version of this plate was identical in thickness to the original aluminium plate but turned out too thin and wobbly, so I've made it a bit thicker this time around. It might still benefit from additional thickness, but I'm content with the current version for now. This modification won't win any design contests - it's more of a Frankenstein mod - but it gets the job done. There are two versions available: one with no camera mount and another with an integrated fpv-camera holder taken from thingiverse (thing:238109). To use the cam case, you'll need to print out the actual case separately; I simply added the holder into my plate design. The additional holes in the centre of the plate are for attaching a 3-axis servo gimbal from hobbyking as part of my headtracker. However, it has been found that the vibrations caused by the three servos do not exactly complement the smooth operation of the brushless gimbal.
