This creation came alive on Tinkercad. Give it a try online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/d1TekQFb7GB The crossbow is specifically engineered for rubber bands. To bring this project to life, it requires support on the back end and middle of the "stock". Additionally, it's highly recommended that you add support to the levitated arms. You may need to raise the pins at the firing mechanism by a few millimeters. Larger rubber bands can easily slip off from the pins if they're not properly aligned. For ammunition, consider using a plastic straw cut to lengths ranging from 6-8 centimeters. Fill one end with wet paper for ballast and you'll have yourself a custom-made projectile. Some additional thoughts to keep in mind: widening the nock might be helpful as "straw arrows" can tend to slip off if they're not securely attached. Also, the lever mechanism can get stuck to the mount, but don't worry – it's an easy fix with a needle and some careful poking away at any plastic that's in the way. Have fun building!
