Winston Kam's Extreme Redesign Challenge project addresses his difficulty in carrying and disposing of water bottles during long runs. His innovative design features a holder that securely fastens to the neck of a plastic bottle, allowing it to be crushed for compact storage. The sloped design accommodates crushed bottles, and an open ring with small grooves helps open bottle caps. Additionally, shoelace slits enable the holder to be attached to shoes, freeing the user's hands for efficient running. Made using 3D printing technology, this versatile design saves time, resources, and energy, allowing Winston to focus on his runs without worrying about hydration or waste disposal.
