These new brackets are an upgrade for your adjustable kitchen shelves that previously had flimsy plastic ones. My wife stores heavy glass dishes on them, causing the old brackets to break and the shelf to sag. By reverse engineering the design and adding extra support, I have enhanced the stability of the shelves, placing some brackets in the center as well as at the sides.
