Plastic Scraper
thingiverse
The black scraper that came with my Elegoo Mars is severely compromised by the alcohol I use to clean it and risks contaminating my resin. To address this issue, I designed one from scratch and printed it using SLA resin, which remains unaffected by cleaning alcohol. If you fail to empty and filter the resin after each print, it's recommended that you expose the FEP with the scraper to check for scrapes, but this exposes the FEP to air. I prefer to do this anyway in case a stray stuck bit has missed my attention and is lodged on the FEP. This serves as cheap insurance for my LCD. Now, let me rant: Do not print this design on supports if you're unable to print it flat on your bed. If you can't manage this, then something is fundamentally wrong with your printing setup. I'm tired of hearing people say things like "print it at 15 degrees" or "30 degrees," and then they'll go on about suction being pathetic. Don't listen to such nonsense. If the design sticks too much to your bed, you need to fine-tune your printer. Don't blame the design or your printer; it's usually the resin that's the problem. I have a standard Elegoo Mars without any modifications. I've cleaned and adjusted my lead screw and nut as well as the bearings for optimal performance.
