Plastic Pumpkin Top

Plastic Pumpkin Top

This is a basic top for the plastic pumpkins that get sold at box stores. We needed a way to light them so we reused a strand of our Christmas lights. This covers most of the hole, fits the top into the ridge so once ziptied through the handle holes it wont slide off and let me screw in a D-ring on the underside so the light could hang properly and lets the strand of lights in and out of the pumpkin without binding.Measurements are in Inches.I made a few versions one with a flat top, one with a dome shape, and one with a star (daughters request).I printed these in ASA because they were going outside at .2 layer height and 10% infill. I used some support near the holes to help with the long bridge. Depending on your printer you could probably print the flat top upside down.I am not a 3d designer. I made this thing in tinker cad. There are a dozen ways I can think of to modify and make these “fancy” for starters making it actually round on top, adding stems, making it look like leaves or root top ect. We needed to cover 24 plastic pumpkins to make our pumpkin arch this year so simple it was. I hope you all can make use of it.
