Replacement gear for the metal mill x2 (crafted with precision and engineered to be the breaking point). A significant improvement over the standard plastic gears found in most factories, designed from durable Delrin material that stands the test of time. Despite this superior craftsmanship, you can still purchase replacement gears at the local hardware store for around $15-$20 and wait indefinitely for shipment, or print them out yourself to achieve rapid results. Replacement gears are a great fit for all X2-type metal mills found at popular retailers like Harbor Freight, Busy Bee, Little Machine Shop, Princess Auto and others. To ensure a longer lifespan, it is crucial that the replacement gear be handled carefully. A key tip in maintaining the durability of this printed gear is to adjust your printer settings to produce parts with high-density infill (at least 60% solid fill) and five sturdy shell layers aligned horizontally and vertically. I used Creo CAD to design these durable gears, then successfully printed them on my Prusa i3 style printer. This particular replacement gear prints without a hassle, ensuring that even a beginner can complete the job with ease and speed.
