Plastic Knuckles of Doom
thingiverse
I'm pleased to offer you three versions of a lightweight yet durable handshank crafted from high-strength plastic, perfect for personal protection and not intended as an actual deadly weapon. You're more than welcome to tinker with these designs in Blender by incorporating blades or spikes to suit your needs; simply attach the components using the 'boolean' modifier (union) to create a seamless design. Don't forget to recalibrate the normals by pressing CTRL+N in edit mode after any modifications. Furthermore, keep in mind that the recommended dimension for the finger holes is 122mm on the X-axis. Instructions: Printing the handshank requires 2 shells and a modest infill rate of 15%, coupled with a resolution of .30mm via your Makerbot Replicator 2; this setup yields prints taking around an hour and ten minutes each to complete. In lieu of support material, rafting proved highly beneficial for effortlessly extracting the handshank from the build plate without incident.
