Plastic face
thingiverse
Design and create 3D parts using open-source tools for your plastic face. The structure consists of a base with four DC motors powered by 5V. Two vertical motors enable up and down movements, while two horizontal engines at the base facilitate right to left motion. However, not all components are plastic; screws and nuts require precision for accurate displacement in the motion system. Metal couplings are provided for these parts. Watch it in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-yA5ByS_lE&context=C38c6023ADOEgsToPDskKCo7rwgXKiirQxYNqug0d0. Follow these steps: print the STL files, assemble motors in the base, add metal screw fittings, put everything together, connect motors in parallel with opposite rotation directions, and enjoy your functional plastic face!
