thingiverse
Build Your Own Windmill with Plastic Bottles and Steel Rod Use recycled water bottles as innovative building blocks for a functioning wind turbine. Gather Materials Three clean plastic bottles Steel rod measuring precisely 4 millimeters in thickness Step-by-Step Instructions Insert the plastic bottles into their respective sockets on the base plate. Twist them until they secure in place, observing how each one ends up oriented after being tightened down. Next, split one of the bottles down its center length to form a unique wing shape. This can be accomplished by carefully applying force to break or cut the plastic bottle apart. Now, screw this new winged portion back onto its socket on the base plate. This innovative contraption may generate motion when placed in a breezy environment but typically comes to an abrupt stop shortly thereafter due to excessive friction between components.
