Plastic bottle cutter modified
thingiverse
Due to some particular needs, I modified souzoumaker's cutter. The modifications/improvements are: - There's now an opening to insert an M5 nut, so the bolt doesn't screw on the plastic alone. - You can put the blade in 2 more positions, 10mm or 20mm above the original. This is useful if you need to cut wider stripes from the bottle. - There are marks on the back side to measure the cut height. The longer marks are coincident with the blades placement, and the shorter ones are 2mm apart from each other. - The two last items mean that you can cut stripes ranging from ¿0mm? to 30mm width just by changing the blade position and the slider. - The guides were made longer so they cover the new blade positions, to prevent the blade from falling. - I made a knob for a round-headed M5 bolt, in case you don't have a pre-made one. Superglue the knob to the bolt, and then glue the round cap. I hope you find this useful. Thanks to souzoumaker for the original tool. Note: **You still need to download his "Adjuster" piece, that I didn't modify.**
