The remix of the bottle cutter by Szalat has been updated with a new version specifically designed for blades 10mm wide, which work best. To improve the print volume and time, the design has been optimized to decrease the volume of material used. In addition, the slots have been widened to make it easier to accommodate the blade. A metal washer slot has also been added to prevent the bottle from cutting into the PLA, greatly increasing its lifespan by many orders of magnitude. To create a stable base and prevent the bottle from cutting into the PLA, slide an appropriately sized metal washer or small coin into the slot. Washers with diameters between 18-20mm and thicknesses of 1-1.5mm work best. Insert the blade into the bottle cutter with the sharp edge facing the longer empty space, and place the washer or small coin on the opposite side of the sharp edge. For optimal results, cut the plastic using a 5mm wedge to support the bottle after starting the process, keeping it vertical throughout.
