Plastic Bank - Food container

Food scarcity is a significant issue in impoverished regions, making it crucial to safeguard limited food supplies from external factors like moisture and insects. A major challenge arises when there are no lunch boxes, plastic wrap, or aluminum foil for proper storage. This is where the concept of a cap that transforms any bottle into a tupperware comes in handy. Initially, it was designed to repurpose plastic bottles but can also be used for soda cans. One advantage of 3D printing is that each model can be unique, offering customization based on bottle diameter. An innovative idea is to create a product-service system where residents carry specific bottles (leftover parts) to designated areas in exchange for new caps, promoting Tupperware creation. This approach brings numerous benefits: it encourages plastic waste reuse, conserves remaining parts from being discarded, and most importantly, enables people with limited resources to store food properly. Small bottles can hold spices or dried herbs, intermediate ones flour, while large bottles are perfect for rice or beans. Your feedback is appreciated!
