PlasPlugs Compact (Plastic Spare Part)
thingiverse
I had an old drill/knife/chisel universal sharpener called "PlasPlugs Compact." The company still exists, but they no longer manufacture the sharpener. They don't have spare parts available or know where to get them, so I decided to make my own. It took me three attempts to create one that actually fits. So far, the design works well, but I consider it a work in progress. As a non-engineer, I didn't follow any specs when creating the thread-part with the plastic nut; I have no idea how to make a thread that fits a real metal nut properly. There are two versions of the sharpener: one includes a wrench, while the other has only the wheel-assembly and nut.
