I envisioned a compact hydroponic planter as the perfect complement to my newly constructed fish tank. The tiny lemon tree growing within it was a labor of love, carefully nurtured from a seed I had planted last winter. Although Wisconsin's climate may not be conducive to its long-term growth, for now, the miniature citrus tree adds a charming touch to the aquarium setup. As it eventually succumbs to its environment or outgrows its space, I plan to experiment with cultivating a variety of herbs instead.
