Plant Pot Fast Watering System

I have a plant that's struggling to reach its full potential due to hard soil all the way up to the rim of the pot. Every week, when I water this "elephant foot" philodendron, I need to wait half an hour for the water to slowly seep through the dense earth because there's hardly any room at the top of the pot. To address this issue, I plan to create a watering system that drips water directly into the middle of the pot and then fills it up. As a bonus, some of the excess water will also flow over the roots themselves. I'm considering raising the pot slightly higher to allow for more water to be added, and perhaps installing a sieve at ground level to catch any debris before it enters the tube. This upgrade might just give my plant the boost it needs to thrive. In fact, I'm thinking of using a built-in support system made from red material, extruded with the first layer, to provide additional stability for the roots as they grow.
