Plant Pot
thingiverse
I created a simple plant pot for my wife's little succulent named Melvin. I added drainage holes to prevent overwatering, which can be devastating for these plants, and a tray underneath the pot to catch excess water that might otherwise accumulate. This is my very first design ever uploaded to thingiverse, so I appreciate any feedback or constructive criticism! Designed in inches, keep in mind that you'll need to scale it up by 25.4 if you're using Cura as your slicer, which requires a significant increase of 2540%. I printed Melvin's pot for the very first time on June 12th, 2020. Due to uncertainty about whether the overhanging portions would print smoothly without supports, I added them just in case. The entire process took around 33.5 hours: 28 hours for the pot itself and 5.5 hours for the tray. Overall, the result was very satisfying, except for a rather sloppy sanding job that needed some extra attention!
