I took 50 photos using my Google Pixel smartphone, then I used 3DF Zephyr Free to create a detailed digital model from those images. Next, I imported that model into Blender where I skillfully reduced its poly count to make it more efficient for use in virtual reality. The real-life object that inspired this digital recreation is an intricate piece of fiber art, handcrafted by a skilled artisan in Ghana, West Africa, which I bought back in 2017 and proudly display on the rug in my very own VR room.
