Plant Cell Model
thingiverse
This is a model of a plant cell I made with all the basic parts of a plant cell. I made it with Autodesk's 123d Design. Objectives: From this project, students would learn about the different parts of a plant cell by interacting with them directly. Interacting with the topic they're learning makes people learn better than just looking at a picture. Custom Section Audiences: This project is suitable for students in grades 5-12 and can be used in any science class including biology, life sciences, or general science classes. Custom Section Preparation: Before using this resource, students should have some basic knowledge of what cells are. They will learn about the different parts by interacting with them directly. Custom Section Steps! To create this model, students would need to print each part of a plant cell separately and then assemble them into a complete cell model. Custom Section Results: After interacting with the cell model, I would ask students to identify specific parts of the cell. Each time they correctly name a part, they earn 5 points. However, every incorrect answer reduces their score by that same amount.
