Plant Cell

Plant Cell

thingiverse

In my biology class project, I crafted a 3D plant cell model without purchasing materials from Michaels. The cell had a pentagonal base and featured components like nucleus (a quarter-extruded sphere), nucleolus (a smaller half-cut sphere), rough and smooth ERs (connected arcs), chloroplasts (oval with smaller ovals on top), mitochondria (oval with ribbed patterns), vacuole (created using a spline), ribosomes and lysosomes (small circles). The cell wall and membrane were rectangular. I used a Replicator 2 machine for most parts, Replicator 1 for the body, and an Epilog Mini laser printer for the acrylic vacuole in Illustrator.
