Initially, I came across an unidentified STEP model that required conversion into Solidworks format. Upon completion, a problem with non-meshing gears was discovered due to the sum of ring gear and sun gear divided by the number of planet gears not equalling a whole number, which is crucial for proper functioning. To rectify this issue, I altered the number of teeth in specific gears while maintaining their position within the case envelope and ensuring the overall ratio remained unchanged.
