thingiverse
Here's a modified planetary gear bearing designed to house a 24 mm diameter battery mod and six 15 mm diameter tanks like the Kanger T3S. With an overall diameter of 100 mm x 40 mm tall, this unique bearing offers ample space for all components. Using custom scripts for holes in planet gears, two 100 mm diameter x 20 mm tall gear bearings were created: one featuring GNU's design and the other matching Emmett's original parameters. These STL files were then imported into SketchUp and stacked on top of each other with some necessary cleanup. By extending holes into non-hole side parts, a double-layer herringbone gear was effectively created. It is possible that this outcome could have been achieved using OpenSCAD alone, but current skill levels do not permit it. Future upgrades to skills might simplify this process further down the line. Notable Updates: 1. A wider base was added on January 26, 2015, allowing for stable holding of the bearing while spinning the outer ring. Steps To Print: To produce a well-printed result, use .2 mm layers and apply a 20% rectilinear infill in Slic3r. Printing with these parameters should take around 14.5 hours to complete.
