Planetary Reduction Drive
thingiverse
The Galactic Drive was a school project that showcased how simple it is to use gear reductions in things like spacecraft. The piece has the planet gears as the driving gears so you can rotate it by hand. It's fun and sturdy, and will keep you engaged for hours. Instructions: RESIZE PARTS TO SIZE After printing, attach the connector to the base using a strong adhesive and insert the planet gears into their assigned spaces. Then add the sun gear into the base assembly and secure with the included nut. If threads seem stuck at first, just keep tightening until they loosen up easily. The Galactic Drive works best with one or more additional planet gears.
