Planetary Peristaltic Pump

This is a fully functional peristaltic pump designed for connection to a budget-friendly stepper motor. It was originally created several years ago as part of a hydroponics project where my goal was to electronically monitor water levels and utilize these pumps to add measured quantities of nutrients into as little as three gallons of water, matching the plants' nutrient absorption needs. This required precise measurement of small liquid quantities.\r\n\r\nThe design has stalled due to an extremely tight tolerance between leaking and being too tight to turn, making it difficult to achieve reliable prints from Shapeways.\r\n\r\nI am releasing these plans to the public because I do not anticipate returning to this project, and believe another person may have better luck achieving successful results.
