This is a planetary gearset I designed while experimenting with printing assemblies simultaneously. The resulting print emerges as one cohesive piece, but with minimal flexibility at each gear, they will "pop" free and the entire assembly will rotate smoothly. Through gentle spinning motions, back and forth, the gears will gradually wear in and eventually roll freely without any hindrance. It appears that it rolls more smoothly in one direction than the other. When spinning such that the planets rotate with the tip of the V on the herringbone gear engaging first, it self-aligns better compared to spinning it the opposite way.
