Planetary gears

thingiverse

One attempt to demonstrate how planetary gears operate... Planetary gears are a type of gear system where multiple gears rotate around a central axis, meshing together to transmit power and motion. At the center is a ring gear, also known as the annulus, which is surrounded by multiple planet gears that orbit around it. These planet gears are typically smaller than the ring gear and have teeth on their outer surfaces that engage with those of the ring gear. As the planet gears rotate, they transfer power to the ring gear, causing it to spin in a continuous motion.
