Basic planetary gearbox featuring three degrees of freedom. Goal was to design a prototype suitable for real-life use as well as educational purposes, showcasing three distinct mechanical gear transmissions. This model consisted of approximately 200 necessary parts. After creating the 3D model in SolidWorks, a prototype was fabricated using Ultimaker 2+ 3D printers to test functionality, incorporating over 100 3D printed parts alongside standard components (bearings, bolts, nuts, retaining rings...). Prototype parts were produced with four Ultimaker 3D printers, including the 2+ and 3 models. The 3D model was designed and 3D printed by CGPdesign member Jasmin Smajic.
