Planetary gear overdrive drill adapter
thingiverse
If you successfully manufacture a high-quality planetary gear model that runs flawlessly, then it can be turned by using this part with a drill. The initial planetary gear design reduces speed by a factor of 1:4 per stage. Thus, in overdrive, it rotates four times faster per stage than its input. With two stages in operation, one rotation results in 16 rotations at the opposite end. Therefore, if you turn it using a drill spinning at 1000 rpm, the final output will reach an impressive speed of 16000 rpm! Note that this modification only functions optimally on planetary gear models printed with a 200% scale. Exercise caution when using this method, as high speeds can cause catastrophic failure and result in the destruction of your planetary gear model.
