This YouTube link (http://youtu.be/m3w0liy-QJE) showcases a 3D printed planetary gear featuring innovative gear bearings connecting the carrier to the planets, potentially reducing frictional losses compared to sleeve bearings. The design is an extension of Emmett Lalish's work, using his gear bearing and pin connector V3 library files. Additionally, the HarlanDMii Write library is employed for labeling the gear ratio on the model. To assemble, print the carrier and planetary gear separately and adjust the 0.15mm tolerance in the OpenSCAD source file if needed. The model was printed using Colorfabb's 1.75mm Blue and Red PLA with Kisslicer software, employing settings such as a layer thickness of 0.2mm, 33% infill, and specific extrusion and bed temperatures for optimal results.
