Planetary gear motor
thingiverse
On eBay, I stumbled upon an affordable motor equipped with a planetary gear reduction system that's raising some interesting eyebrows. The price point was significantly lower than expected, and its size belies incredible strength, all while consuming impressively low amounts of current. Determined to capitalize on this remarkable find, I took matters into my own hands and constructed a sturdy bracket that incorporates a protective housing for securely mounting axles and ball bearings – essentially giving the axis some much-needed stability. At 6mm in thickness, the shaft poses no problem with integrating a wheel or other attachments onto its axis.
